Robert A. Lizana, D.C.

Dr. Robert Lizana along with his wife, Dr. Jeri Lizana, opened the American Back Institute 20 years ago. Dr. Lizana was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1977. After attending Southeastern Louisiana University he graduated from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA with his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Lizana treats patients from all the southern states and as far away as New York and California. He also treats players from three NFL teams, including the New Orleans Saints, the newest member of the AFL, the New Orleans Voodoo, and many other pro baseball and Olympic athletes. He belongs to the Association for Care of Elite and Professional Athletes, the Professional Football Chiropractic Society and many State and National Chiropractic Associations. He lives with his wife and two children, all very active in the community.

Robert W. Kelly, M.D.

Originally from Athens, Texas, Dr. Kelly has been working and residing in New Orleans, Louisiana for over twenty years. He recieved his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968 and earned his Medical Degree from the university of Texas Medical Branch, Galvestin, Texas in 1972. For several more years he continued his education in different Internship, Residency and Fellowship program

For over thirty years, Dr. Kelly devoted his time to the practice of Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. he has helped more than 5,000 patients and achieved both national and international acclaim.

In February 2008, Dr. Kelly turned his amassed expertise to a different path and joined his close friend, Dr. Lizana and the American Back Institute (ABI) team. His specialty in pain control techniques, obtained through his thirty-years experience in practice, furnished a seamless transition into his relieving pain for patients at ABI. His ample accomplishments in the medical field also make a significant difference in providing the best solutions and results for our patients. In addition to pain relief, Dr. Kelly is also in charge of nutritional couseling and medical evaluation for patients as well as assisting Dr. Lizana in patient care decisions.
